Manny’s Deli, a Chicago institution since it first opened its doors in 1942, is one of those places that just doesn’t really exist any more. Not only is it a classic Jewish deli, specializing in old-school noshes like stuffed cabbage, noodle kugel, and knishes (not to mention incredible corned beef and pastrami); it’s also all served up cafeteria style: grab a tray, move on down the line, and load up.
- This package serves 3-6 people and includes:
- 2 lbs. Manny’s signature thinly sliced, pre-cooked corned beef
- 1 loaf of Rye Bread
- 8 hand-made Potato Pancakes
- Manny’s special horseradish mustard
- Potato Pancakes weigh 3 oz. each

To Serve
Corned Beef
- Thaw in refrigerator unopened overnight.
- For warm sandwich: Submerge entire unopened package in warm tap water (not boiling) for 10 minutes.
- Separate individual slices to be used.
- Refrigerate any unused portions.
Potato Pancakes
- Thaw in refrigerator unopened overnight.
- Heat at 350° in conventional oven, toaster oven (10-12 minutes) or in frying pan using non-stick spray. Heat until crisp, flipping pancake once. * Serve with sour cream and applesauce if desired.
Rye Bread
- For best results let thaw completely.
Mustard
- Let thaw and shake well.
