This Red Velvet Cake is a vanilla cake with a striking dark red color, it has a subtle chocolate cocoa flavor. It is iced and filled with cream cheese icing and garnished with red velvet cake crumbs!

Since its founding in 1959 as a small, 24-hour window-service bakery by Mildred and Lloyd Haydel, Haydel’s Bakery has since become a legendary New Orleans-area institution for its wide variety of scratchmade cakes, cookies, pastries, and more family-recipe NOLA-inspired treats – and its king cakes are a Mardi Gras tradition for countless locals.   • Cakes ship frozen with dry ice.
  • Dry ice may dissipate in transit, product may thaw.
  • Do not remove dry ice with bare hands.
  • Upon arrival, store cake at room temperature or in the refrigerator or freezer.
  • Cake can last at room temperature & in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
