






Cajun Mild Deep Fried Turkey

- Each turkey leg serves 1 person, measures approx. 8"-10" and weighs approx. 1.8 lbs.
The size and weight of individual turkeys will vary. The turkey you receive may be larger or smaller than specified.
- Turkeys ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
- Upon arrival, store turkey in the freezer (do not remove plastic wrapping).
- Turkey lasts up to 6 months in the freezer.
To Serve
- Thaw turkey in the refrigerator 72 hours prior to serving or thaw in a sink of cold tap water for up to 6 hours. To thaw turkey more quickly, wrap your turkey securely, making sure the water is not able to leak through the wrapping. Then, submerge turkey in cold tap water, changing the water every 30 minutes (allow approx. 30 minutes per pound to thaw).
- Remove the Turkey from the refrigerator 2 hours prior to cooking
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Before placing it on a pan, REMOVE THE PLASTIC BAG, but leave the foil on the turkey (you can pour any leftover juices on top of the turkey).
- Put the pan in the oven and cook for 90 minutes.
- Uncover and cook for an additional 20 minutes, or until skin is nice and crispy. Turkey need to be cooked to 165° F to be safe to eat.
- Allow to rest for 20-30 minutes before serving
- Carve, serve, and enjoy!
