Texas Inn

Serving 1,500 People, 15 at a Time, Since 1935
The Texas Inn, known by locals as “The T Room,” is Lynchburg, Virginia’s oldest dining establishment, founded in 1935 and relatively unchanged since. It’s served six million customers over the years, and they’ve got diner comfort classics down to a science.
This diminutive lunch counter is a classic hot dog joint, and its signature dog comes topped with mild chili, sweet mustard-based relish and chopped onions. But it’s the “Cheesy Western” that’s the true star of the menu, a quarter-pound burger topped with cheese, onions and that famous relish on a soft bun. Add a scrambled egg to make it truly authentic. This is good old fashioned eatin’ at its finest.
