The Hatch Chile Store hand makes traditional New Mexican red chile pork tamales, green chile cheese tamales, and green chile chicken tamales! Pork and Hatch red chile is one of the best flavor combinations in New Mexico. Hatch green chile and chicken is one of the iconic flavor combinations of New Mexican cuisine. The green chile cheese tamales are made with a melty mild cheddar cheese that perfectly complements the taste of Hatch Green Chile. Using an authentic New Mexican recipe, fluffy masa made with stone-ground maseca (dried corn) is stuffed with either green chile cheese, green chile chicken, or red chile pork. Each tamale is then wrapped in a traditional hoja (corn husk) and steamed to perfection. Once steamed, these tamales will melt in your mouth. These small-batch tamales are so good you may even mistake these for your abuela’s tamales.
