Red Pepper
The Home of The Taco Grinder
Going strong since 1961, Red Pepper is a Grand Forks landmark and a beloved hangout for generations of UND students. This no-frills joint is a certifiable time capsule, sticking to the belief that if it aināt broke, thereās no reason to fix it.
āThe Pepā is renowned for its old-school tacos, tostadas and enchiladas, but thereās a reason why itās known as The Home of the Grinder: a soft and delicious bun is filled with your choice of ham, turkey or salami (or all of the above if you make it an Everything), which gets topped with lettuce, white sauce, hot sauce, house-shredded Colby cheese and taco meat. And as for that white sauce? Itās made with a secret recipe, and regulars know that itās the perfect topping for just about everything on the menu.
