Janie’s Cakes ships its famous pound cakes nationwide on Goldbelly! Janie’s delicious Carrot Jane Pound Cake starts with an all-natural carrot and cinnamon pound cake made with Grade-A eggs and real creamery butter. Then, they fill it with fresh, cinnamon cream cheese buttercream icing and top it with toasted pecans.

Janie’s Cakes founder Janie Clapp learned the art of baking from “Papu,” her great-grandmother, who operated more on instinct than measuring. Clapp attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York before opening Janie’s Cakes in Tyler, Texas, in 1987. Clapp’s eponymous bakery is known for its pound cakes made with farm-fresh eggs, creamery butter, pure cane sugar, and absolutely no preservatives. The Texas bakery is continuing to produce what many, including Oprah, believe to be the best pound cake in the country; her cakes were named one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in 2016.

  • Every Janie’s Cake comes packaged in their signature yellow and white striped gift box with a blue ribbon.
