Back in 1978, Roy and Delores Hutchins decided to attach a restaurant to their Dallas-area home to sell slow-smoked, classic Texas-style barbecue. The homespun restaurant took off, and it’s since become one of the region’s most beloved barbecue joints, with locations in McKinney and Frisco, just north of Dallas. Second-generation owner Tim Hutchins started working the pit at age 14, and after bringing his brother Tracy on board in 2014, they put their own spin on the menu with new creations including the now-famous brisket-stuffed, bacon-wrapped “Texas Twinkies.”
This is truly Texas BBQ at its finest. The signature brisket starts with USDA Prime beef, which is wet-aged for 45 days before being seasoned with a proprietary peppery spice rub and smoked low & slow for 18 hours. Hutching BBQ has been included in Texas Monthly’s Top 50 List for over a decade, and now it’s shipping its brisket, turkey breast, giant “dino” beef ribs, snappy sausages, Texas Twinkies & more nationwide!
