While studying at New York’s Institute of Culinary Education, former photo editor Dana Pollack was drawn to French macarons for their beauty and delicate texture, but was surprised by how few flavors they’re traditionally available in. So in 2012 she took matters into her own hands and founded Dana’s Bakery, dedicated to crafting authentically French macarons, but in flavors inspired by All-American desserts and candy. The concept was such a success that she’s since launched cookies and the Insta-famous Mookie™ – a cookie stuffed with a macaron. And it’s all gluten-free!

Dana’s Bakery has become so popular that she was named Ernst & Young’s 2017 Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Emerging Business Category and it made the Inc. 5000 list for Fastest Growing Private Companies in America in 2018 and 2019.
