Daeho moved to San Francisco from South Korea in 1990, and he spent nearly 30 years running Korean restaurants in the Bay Area before opening the first Daeho Kalbijjim and Beef Soup location in the heart of San Francisco in 2019. Kalbijjim is a big, hearty stew of braised short rib covered with a massive amount of melted cheese. Today, Daeho Kalbijjim is one of the Bay Area’s hottest restaurants, with additional locations throughout the region, one in Las Vegas, and more planned throughout the United States. This is Korean comfort food at its finest, and now it’s shipping nationwide!
This package serves 3-4 people and includes
- Prime Grade Beef & Sauce (3.75 lbs.)
- Carrots (10 oz.)
- Potato (9 oz.)
- Onion (14 oz.)
- Rice Cake (5.5 oz.)
- Cheese (5 oz.)
- 2 Rice Bowls
- Chili Powder (1 oz.)

- Kit ships frozen with ice packs, may thaw in transit
- Meat is fully cooked, vacuum-sealed, and packed with ice packs for safe delivery.
- Store it in the refrigerator or freezer immediately upon receiving.
- Kit may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer up to 1 week.
To Serve
- Place the fully thawed package (12 hours in the refrigerator) OR use microwave defrost meat function and set to (4 m 30 sec), then place it into the frying pan or wok.
- Cook on low heat, stirring well every 2-3 minutes to prevent sticking. Don’t smash the vegetables.
- Let it cook for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer all cooked ingredients over to a microwaveable serving dish. Add Cheese, and microwave the entire dish for 1-2 minutes (until cheese melts)
