Savor the Flavors of Spring! As winter takes its final bow, spring steps onto the stage with a symphony of renewal, color, and vitality. This season, brimming with life and promise offers a treasure trove of tender greens, vibrant herbs, and delicate blossoms that awaken the senses. This curated collection sings of spring’s romance, beginning with our Pierce Point cheese, gracefully adorned with fragrant sweet basil and golden calendula petals—a true centerpiece for any spring gathering. Joining Pierce Point is Hop Along, Cowgirl’s cider-washed creation as lively and inviting as the season itself. It’s matched beautifully with the nutty, subtly sweet San Joaquin Gold, a masterpiece from our friends at Fiscalini Farmstead. No spring cheeseboard would be complete without the indulgent sweetness of Mt. Tam Honey, perfectly complemented by organic artisan crackers and the rich, full-bodied elegance of award-winning Toscano salame.

Cowgirl Creamery makes cheese with heart. In 1997, they started with a dream shared between two college friends and business partners, Sue Conley and Peggy Smith: To celebrate organic practices and spotlight the craftsmanship of local sustainable agriculture in Marin and Sonoma counties. Today, they’re proud to be an icon in the industry, carrying the torch of the food revolution that started in their backyard. Organic. Farm-to-Table. Delicious, award-winning cheese. It’s in their DNA. And it defines their famous creations, including the beloved triple cream Mt Tam.

This package serves 8-10 people and includes

  • Pierce Point (7 oz.) – Cowgirl Creamery: Pierce Point transports you to the scents and sights of late spring on the Northern California Coast. Named for a ranch on the Pt Reyes National Seashore, Pierce Point starts with organic, locally sourced milk. Each wheel is rich with the aromas of the surrounding pastures. Pierce Point delivers all the herbaceousness of the milk, accentuated with herbs and stunning edible flowers, capturing the essence of the season year-round.
  • Hop Along (6 oz.) – Cowgirl Creamery: A snackable organic cheese under the influence of hard cider. After 45 days of aging, this washed rind cheese develops aromas of apple and brioche and a silky, semi-firm interior. Hop Along is a versatile and approachable option for both cheese novices and experts and easily pairs with a variety of snacks (cured meats, preserved and fresh fruits, and nuts) and beverages (kombucha & hard cider).
  • San Joaquin Gold (5 oz.) – Fiscalini Farmstead: San Joaquin Gold is an original cheese recipe created by and made only at Fiscalini Farmstead. Like the European tradition of naming unique foods after the location where they were first produced, and named this cheese after the valley where it is made. San Joaquin Gold is an Italian-style cheese with a natural thin rind and a tawny buttery color. Mildly sweet and mellow when young, it develops a darker golden hue and deeper nuttier flavor over time.
  • Cowgirl Creamery Crackers (6 oz.) – Rustic Bakery | Petaluma, CA: Rustic Bakery crafts these organic crackers made with sea salt, olive oil, and sourdough starter.
  • Toscano Sliced Salami (2.5 oz.) – Fra’Mani: Inspired by Tuscan tradition, this salame is seasoned with red wine, black pepper, garlic, and sea salt.
  • Mt Tam Honey (3 oz.) – Marshall’s Farm Honey: From the sunny, lower slopes of Mount Tamalpais, Marin County. This honey is dark and caramelly and has a very wild berry flavor.

To Serve

  • Remove your cheese from the refrigerator at least an hour before serving, unwrap it, and place it on a cheese board or butcher paper.
  • Cover with an inverted bowl. This allows the cheese to breathe and protect it while it comes to room temperature.

There is Mold on My Cheese!

  • Traditional cheeses are often made with natural rinds that display a variety of colorful molds and bumpy textures. These rinds protect the cheese as it ages while contributing to its unique flavor profile.
  • Bacteria and mold are essential components of cheese. When cut and wrapped, molds and surface oils can develop on the face of the cheese. Simply scrape the surface with a knife to remove before serving.
