Casa Vega
“The Restaurant That Sold Hollywood on Mexican Food” - New York Times
Casa Vega is one of the oldest and most beloved Mexican restaurants in Los Angeles, and it’s as big a celebrity as some of the A-listers who’ve dined there since Ray Vega first opened its doors in 1956. The warm and festive restaurant hasn’t changed much since those early days, with a retro throwback charm that’s made it a beloved local hangout, celebrity favorite (Marlon Brando was a regular), and ideal filming location for movies including Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
Ray Vega’s daughter Christy took over the restaurant after Ray’s passing in 2021, and in 2022 the James Beard Foundation named Casa Vega an American Classic. Casa Vega is a true LA landmark, and from its burritos and enchiladas to taquitos and margarita mix, its most legendary menu items are now shipping nationwide!
