Growing up, Barb Batiste spent her weekends helping her mother cook for gatherings of her close-knit Filipino family. She founded B Sweet in 2009 in her home kitchen with one recipe – her famous Chocolate Chip Banana Bread – and it grew to become a popular catering operation, followed by two dessert trucks (B Sweet Mobile), followed by a brick-and-mortar dessert shop (B Sweet Dessert Bar), and finally a fast-casual Filipino restaurant named Big Boi in 2018. So it goes without saying that these are some undeniably delicious desserts!

A self-taught chef, Barb remains true to her “handmade like grandma used to” roots. Barb still works off many of her original handwritten recipes for items like bread pudding, chocolate chip cookie dough, and vegan cheesecake jars and, together with her committed team, they strive to create new recipes daily with an old-fashioned flair. B Sweet’s now-legendary baked goods are now shipping nationwide!
