After graduating from Barnard College with a degree in history, she became a stockbroker and learned all about what it takes to build a real business from the ground up. Martha made everything from scratch and quickly earned a following, and her recipes became the foundation of her first cookbook, “Entertaining,” published in 1982. Martha Stewart Living magazine launched in 1991, her iconic daytime TV show premiered the following year, and the rest is delicious history.
