Each gluten free blue crab cake is made with gluten-free bread crumbs. The Chesapeake is home to the Blue Crab, which is arguably the finest crabmeat in the world. This crabmeat from Maryland has become the most desired crab meat in the United States due to its supreme flavor but also elusive scarcity.

Nestled in the Chesapeake Bay on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Kent Island Crab Cakes has been serving gourmet crab for three generations. Since Ron and Margie Kauffman established Kent Island Crab Cakes in 1980, the seafood purveyor has been preparing the finest Maryland style jumbo lump crab cakes made with Maryland blue crabs.

  • Choose up to includes 12 Gluten Free Blue Crab Cakes (3 oz. each)
  • Crab Cakes ship frozen with dry ice, may thaw in transit
  • Do not remove dry ice with bare hands
  • Freeze upon arrival, frozen crab cakes may be enjoyed up to 1 year after arrival

Preparation
Pan Sauté:

  • Do not defrost crab cakes
  • Add just a little oil and/or butter; or a combination of both to a frying pan on medium heat
  • Cook crab cakes on the first side 6 to 8 minutes and turn over and cook for an additional 6 minutes or until golden brown
    Baking:
  • Do not defrost crab cakes
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray
  • Brush with either mayonnaise or butter onto each crab cake and bake for approximately 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown
  • Cook until internal temperature of 165 degrees F
