James Beard Award-winning Chef Chris Shephard has been changing and shaping the Houston culinary scene for a decade. After opening Underbelly in 2012, the restaurant won a myriad of awards for its ability to capture the essence and culture of Houston cuisine. In 2018, Shephard launched Underbelly Hospitality where he continues to expand the Houston food scene. He is also an author. His book, "Cook Like a Local: Flavors that Will Change the Way You Cook—and See the World", was nominated for a 2020 James Beard Foundation Book Award.
