World Famous Subs Since 1946
While Atlantic City may have seen better days, there's one institution that is as strong as ever. White House Subs has been the destination within a destination for generations of locals and visitors alike playing host to celebrities like Frank Sinatra, Oprah Winfrey, Rocky Marciano, Joe DiMaggio, and even the Beatles who chowed down on a 72 inch sub after a concert in 1964. Some things may have changed since it opened in 1946 (a whole sub no longer costs 50 cents), but when it comes to the quality of their subs (like using fresh baked bread delivered up to 10 times a day from local bakeries), things are the same as they ever were. This unwavering commitment to producing the nation's best subs is just one of the many reasons the James Beard Foundation named White House Subs an American Classic in one of the awards inaugural classes.
