No visit to Union Square Cafe is complete without the bar nuts, marinated olives, and a salad dressing that may be the single most requested recipe currently on the menu. These have all worked their way into their regular’s hearts. Sweet, salty, and spicy, the rosemary nuts are perfect with cocktails or for snacking. Marinated olives are flecked with chili, fennel, and orange to keep you coming back for more. The salad kit includes famous Dijon vinaigrette plus gruyere cheese and craveable croutons, making the perfect starter salad a breeze.
Founded in 1985, Union Square Cafe is Danny Meyer’s first restaurant. Not only is it the birthplace of a generation of widely lauded, award-winning restaurants, it is also the career starting point for many world-renowned chefs. Rooted in contemporary American cuisine with Italian influences, Union Square Cafe remains a destination for creative cooking today thanks to Executive Chef Lena Ciardullo.

- 1 jar Marinated Olives (16 oz.)
- Gift Set ships with ice packs, may thaw in transit.
- If you are looking to serve right away, let thaw at room temperature.
- If you are looking to enjoy later, remove all containers and place all but nuts in the refrigerator.
- Nuts and olives can be stored at room temperature on day of serving.
To Serve
Nuts
- Store in a warm place. If you’d like them served warm, warm in a 300 F oven for 1-2 minutes.
Olives
- Serve at room temperature
Salad Kit
- Use any greens you prefer (we like Bibb and Red Oak but Romaine or Spinach would also be great).
- Place greens in a large mixing bowl and toss lightly with dijon vinaigrette. You will not need all the dressing but can save it for multiple uses, or use for your next marinate.
- Grate cheese and sprinkle over the top of the salad.
- Warm the croutons in a microwave first for 10-15 seconds, then place them in an oven or toaster oven at 350 F to crisp up the outside for an additional 2-4 minutes.
- Sprinkle croutons around the salad and enjoy!
