This package includes your choice of 5, 10 or 15 Smoked Turkey Legs
- Each turkey leg serves 1 person, measures approx. 8"-10" and weighs approx. 1.25 – 1.75 lbs.
- Turkey legs ship frozen with ice packs, may thaw during transit.
- Upon arrival, store turkey legs in the refrigerator or freezer.
- Turkey can last up to 6 days in the refrigerator and up to 4 months in the freezer.
To Serve
- Thaw turkey in the refrigerator 72 hours prior to serving or thaw in a sink of cold tap water for up to 6 hours. To thaw turkey more quickly, wrap your turkey securely, making sure the water is not able to leak through the wrapping. Then, submerge turkey in cold tap water, changing the water every 30 minutes (allow approx. 30 minutes per pound to thaw).
- Remove the Turkey from the refrigerator 2 hours prior to cooking
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Before placing it on a pan, REMOVE THE PLASTIC BAG, but leave the foil on the turkey (you can pour any leftover juices on top of the turkey).
- Put the pan in the oven and cook for 90 minutes.
- Uncover and cook for an additional 20 minutes, or until skin is nice and crispy. Internal temperature should read 155 and will rise to 165 once removed from the oven.
- Allow to rest for 20-30 minutes before serving
- Carve, serve, and enjoy!
