Home of the "Twin Peaks" Cherry Pie

Nestled in the scenic foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range in the tiny town of North Bend, Washington, Twede's Cafe was opened in 1941 by Roy Thompson. The charming, old-school restaurant survived WWII and the boom and bust of the Pacific Northwest's rugged timber industry, and became popular locally for its great burgers, breakfasts, and (especially) its pie. In 2020, Rachel Bennett and Max Spears purchased the cafe, and are keeping the Twede's tradition alive.

In 1990, director David Lynch, on a scouting trip for his new ABC TV series, “Twin Peaks,” walked through the front door of Twede's and discovered a legend: a place Special Agent Dale Cooper (played by by Kyle MacLachlan) described on the show as “where pies go when they die.” Today, Twede’s still serves “a damn fine cup o’ coffee!” and the same “damn good cherry pie” Agent Cooper loved, made from scratch with the finest ingredients available. It’s a pie that locals and visitors from around the world have sought out, and it’s now shipping nationwide!
