Summer Shack was founded in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in 2000 by the late James Beard Award-winning chef Jasper White. The casual seafood restaurant drew rave reviews from its inception, racking up local and national acclaim as well as a James Beard nomination for Best New Restaurant in 2001 and a spot on Saveur magazine’s Top 100 list. It remains one of the Boston area’s most popular seafood restaurants, with additional locations open in Boston’s Back Bay and at Mohegan Sun.
