When you start with “The Best Bread on the Planet” and apply a little culinary genius, you end up with the world-famous Olga’s Snackers. These crisp, bite-size wedges of secret-recipe Olga Bread are seasoned with a savory blend of spices and served with creamy Swiss almond cheese dip.

Spinach & Cheese Pies
These Spinach & Cheese Pies are super-creamy and super-cheesy! Founder Olga Loizon put her culinary genius behind this recipe, which pairs a creamy blend of feta cheese with fresh leaf spinach. It’s then baked in delicate layers of flaky, buttery phyllo that will melt in your mouth.

It’s not a sandwich, a pita, a wrap, a flatbread, or a gyro… it’s an Olga, and THIS is The Original Olga! They start with “The Best Bread on the Planet,” their secret-recipe Olga Bread, and pile it high with their special blend of the highest quality broiled and thinly carved beef and lamb-based gyro meat, vine-ripened tomato, sweet onion, and their signature Olgasauce.

“Olga’s Dessert Snackers” Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips
Indulge in Olga’s legendary Snackers, but for dessert! These Dessert Snackers start with “The Best Bread on the Planet,” crisp, bite-size wedges of secret-recipe Olga Bread, which are seasoned with cinnamon and sugar and served with vanilla cream cheese frosting.

Olga’s Kitchen has been a Michigan icon for more than 50 years. Back in the 1960s, Olga Loizon was inspired by a trip to Greece to open her own Greek restaurant. She purchased a vertical rotisserie, spent years perfecting her recipes for gyro meat and soft, fluffy pita bread (which is today the iconic Olga Bread), took out a loan to lease a 10′×10′ storefront in Birmingham, Michigan (the first woman to do so), and in 1970, Olga’s Kitchen was born. Olga passed away in 2019, but her legacy lives on at the more than 25 locations of Olga’s Kitchen across Michigan and Illinois and with the Olga Loizon Memorial Foundation, which provides grants to women entrepreneurs.

To Serve

Tomatoes

  • Rinse under cold water for a few seconds.
  • Slice the tomato length in half, lay the tomato halves flat down, and cut into slices approximately ¼ inch thick.

Gyro Meat

  • Place the bag of gyro meat on a microwave-safe plate.
  • Microwave on high for 2 minutes, flip the bag, and microwave again for 1 minute (internal temperature should be 165°F).

Olga Bread – Stove Top

  • Remove bread from packaging and open up flat.
  • Heat bread, one at a time, in a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat for 30-45 seconds per side.

Olga Bread – Microwave

  • Remove bread from packaging and open up flat.
  • Place 4 pieces evenly on a microwave-safe plate and heat for 45 seconds.

Assembly

  • Layout Olga bread.
  • Place gyro meat between the pieces of Olga bread down the center from end to end.
  • Add sliced tomatoes over the top of the gyro.
  • Repeat the same process for the sliced onions and Olgasauce.
  • Fold the left side of the bread over the ingredients, then the right, and secure with a toothpick (not included).
  • Serve and enjoy!

Pies

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Place a clean wire rack on a sheet pan and place frozen pies directly on the wire rack.
  • Using a pastry brush, evenly coat the top of the pies with melted butter.
  • Bake until golden brown for approx. 20minutes (or until internal temperature reaches 165°F).
  • Serve and enjoy!

Olga’s Snackers

  • Preheat air fryer or oven to 400°F.
  • Add cut Snackers to a large mixing bowl.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil (not included) to the bowl and toss the Snackers well, making sure they are all separated.
  • Add Snacker Seasoning to the bowl and mix well until snackers are well coated.
  • Place Snackers into air fryer basket or onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 3 minutes in the air fryer or oven (they should be golden brown around the edges and slightly crisp but still soft in the middle).
  • Serve with swiss almond cheese and enjoy!

Dessert Snackers

  • Preheat air fryer or oven to 400°F.
  • Add cut Snackers to a large mixing bowl.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil (not included) to the bowl and toss the Snackers well, making sure they are all separated.
  • Add cinnamon sugar to the bowl and mix well until snackers are well coated.
  • Place Snackers into air fryer basket or onto a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 3 minutes in the air fryer or oven (they should be golden brown around the edges and
    slightly crisp but still soft in the middle).
  • Serve with cream cheese frosting and enjoy!
