Widely regarded as one of the very best bakeries in America, Boston’s iconic Flour Bakery + Cafe is the creation of legendary pastry chef Joanne Chang. Chang spent years honing her craft at some of the country’s top restaurants before opening Flour in Boston’s South End with her husband Christopher Myers in 2000. Her array of wildly delicious sticky buns, cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins, cakes, pies, and more quickly attracted a loyal following, and the awards and accolades soon began to roll in. Chang was awarded the James Beard Award for Outstanding Baker in 2016, and today there are nine Flour Bakery + Cafe locations across Boston and Cambridge.

To Serve
- When you are ready to bake your cinnamon buns, grease or pan spray a 9” x 13” baking dish.
While frozen, remove cinnamon rolls from packaging and place the buns cut side down and evenly spaced, 2-by-3 in the baking dish. - Cover with plastic wrap and thaw buns and cream cheese glaze in your refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours.
- When thawed, remove from refrigerator and place in a warm spot to proof for about 2 hours, or until the dough is puffy, pillowy, and soft and the buns are touching.
- Position a rack in the center of the oven, and heat the oven to 350 degrees (325 degrees if you are using a convection oven).
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and centers are set. Let cool in the baking dish on top of a cooling rack.
- Once they are cool enough to handle and not hot to the touch, spread an even amount of cream cheese glaze over each cinnamon bun.
- Enjoy them while still warm or within the same day.
