Crif Dogs opened its doors on St. Marks Place in the heart of New York’s East Village in 2001, and the city’s hot dog scene hasn’t been the same since. With its famous “Eat Me” hot dog sign hanging out front and nightly crowds of revelers indulging in signature deep-fried, bacon-wrapped hot dogs within, Crif Dogs is more than just a hot dog stand – it’s every bit a New York icon as the Empire State Building.
Entered through a phone booth inside Crif Dogs, Please Don’t Tell (PDT) is one of the most famous and influential cocktail bars in history. When the small speakeasy opened in 2007, it ushered in a new era of cocktail bars, one that’s still going strong today. Its cocktails are made with only the freshest seasonal ingredients and top-shelf spirits, and its bar program became so renowned that it won the first-ever James Beard Award for Outstanding Bar Program in 2012.

- 1 Firebird – The Paloma is the second best-selling tequila cocktail in the world behind the Margarita. This take on the Paloma features hibiscus and a little kick of cinnamon for a bubbly and refreshing Tequila cocktail.
- 2 Mezcal Mule – The best-selling cocktail at Please Don’t Tell, is the perfect combination of flavors tart tropical fruit, fresh lime, cucumber, and spice from ginger – all match perfectly with the earthy Mezcal.

- Upon arrival, store the bottles in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
- Fresh produce may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Teriyaki Sauce may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Mustard may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- Bread, Cole Slaw, and Pickled Jalapeños may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
- Cream Cheese may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 10 days.
To Serve
Classic Chili Dogs
- Prepare from a refrigerated state, allow to thaw the night before if frozen.
- Preheat oil to 350 degrees.
- Reheat Chili in a small pot at low temp until it reaches 165, or place in microwave for 3 minutes stirring halfway.
- Splash Warning Add in the Crif hot dogs and cook until the skin pops open, approx 3-4 minutes. Remove from oil and put on wire rack to let off excess oil.
- If you like your buns toasted, open the bun face down onto a pan and toast to your liking.
- Place cooked hot dog into bun add on toppings: zig zag some mustard or spread it onto the bun directly, pour 2 oz of chili over the dog evenly, last sprinkle diced onion over the top to your liking.
- Let the Feast commence
Bacon-Wrapped Pineapple & Teriyaki Hot Dog
- Preheat oil to 350 degrees.
- Add in the bacon wrapped hot dogs and cook until bacon is well done golden and crispy (apprx 3-4 minutes). Remove from oil and put on wire rack to let off excess oil.
- If you like your buns toasted, open the bun face down onto a pan and toast to your liking.
- Place cooked hot dog into bun add on toppings: zig zag some teriyaki sauce, scoop some pineapple bits on top and finally top with scallions.
- Sit back and let your taste buds enjoy as you feast.
Spicy Bacon-Wrapped Chili Hot Dog
- Prepare from a refrigerated state, allow to thaw the night before if frozen.
- Preheat oil to 350 degrees.
- Reheat Chili in a small pot at low temp until it reaches 165, or place in microwave for 3 minutes stirring halfway.
- Add in the bacon wrapped hot dogs and cook until bacon is well done golden and crispy (approx 3-4 minutes). Remove from oil and put on wire rack to let off excess oil.
- If you like your buns toasted, open the bun face down onto a pan and toast to your liking.
- Place cooked hot dog into bun add on toppings: pour over chili, sprinkle jalapeno over, using tongs place cole slaw over the top.

Everything Dogs
- Preheat your oil to 350 degrees.
- Splash Warning Add in the Crif hot dogs and cook until the skin pops open (approx 3-4 minutes). Remove from oil and put on wire rack to let off excess oil.
- If you like your buns toasted, open the bun face down onto a pan and toast to your liking.
- Spread cream cheese on bun, place cooked hot dog into bun add on scallions, sprinkle everything seasoning over the top.
- Sit back and let your taste buds enjoy as you feast.
Garden Tonic Cocktail
- Combine 4.25 oz. of Garden Tonic with 1.5 oz. Gin in a 10-12 oz glass full of ice, stir once to incorporate. Recommended: Fords Gin.
- Garnish with a cucumber wheel.

Firebird Cocktail Cocktail
- Combine 4.25 oz. of Firebird with 1.5 oz. Reposado Tequila in a 10-12 oz glass full of ice, stir to incorporate. Recommended: Fortaleza Reposado.
- Garnish with a grapefruit half-moon.

Mezcal Mule Cocktail
- Combine 4.25 oz. of Mezcal Mule with 1.5 oz. Mezcal in a 10-12 oz glass full of ice, stir once to incorporate. Recommended: Mezcal Vida.
