Celebrate Cowgirl Creamery’s 25th birthday with an exclusive collection of Cowgirl cheeses (all of them!) called The Ultimate Cowgirl Cheese Collection and their favorite accompaniments. Party like it’s 1997!

Cowgirl Creamery makes cheese with heart. In 1997, they started with a dream shared between two college friends and business partners, Sue Conley and Peggy Smith: To celebrate organic practices and spotlight the craftsmanship of local sustainable agriculture in Marin and Sonoma counties. Today, they’re proud to be an icon in the industry, carrying the torch of the food revolution that started in their backyard. Organic. Farm-to-Table. Delicious, award-winning cheese. It’s in their DNA. And it defines their famous creations, including the beloved triple cream Mt Tam.

This package includes 6 of Cowgirl Creamery’s Signature Cheeses + more:

  • Mt. Tam (7 oz.) – Cowgirl Creamery’s signature cheese that coats your tongue with a rich, buttery flavor that carries an earthy hint of white mushrooms
  • Red Hawk (7 oz.) – A full-flavored triple-cream cheese made from single-source, organic milk. Aged six weeks and carefully washed with a salt-water brine
  • Devil’s Gulch (7 oz.) – Named after the narrow ravine carved along the base of Mt. Barnabe, just down the road from Bivalve Dairy, where we source the organic, pasture-based milk. Devil’s Gulch is then encrusted with dried red heirloom peppers grown by our friends at Allstar Organics. The seasonings celebrate the season with a festive and vibrant appearance and a warming flavor that contrasts with the buttery notes of the cheese.
  • Pierce Pt. (7 oz.) – Pierce Pt. transports you to the scents and sights of late spring on the Northern California Coast. It delivers all the herbaceousness of our milk source, accentuated with herbs and stunning edible flowers, capturing the essence of the season year-round.
  • Wagon Wheel (6 oz.) – Wagon Wheel – Cowgirl Creamery – Petaluma, California Browned
  • Hop Along (5 oz.) – After a gentle bath in organic hard cider and 3 months of aging, Hop Along develops aromas of apple and brioche and a silky, semi-firm interior similar to Trappist cheesemaking styles. Hop Along is forged from organic cow’s milk and aged for a minimum of 45 days as 5-pound wheels
  • Cowgirl Chocolate Bar (2.5 oz.)
  • Cowgirl Crackers (6 oz.)
  • Cowgirl Cooler (8 oz.)
  • Choose to add on a Cowgirl Creamery Ornament Campfire Mug!
  • Cheeses ship with gel packs, gel packs may thaw in transit
  • Expect cheese to arrive at room temperature
  • Upon arrival please refrigerate
  • Cheese is stable at room temperature, however, it is best stored in the refrigerator
  • For optimum enjoyment, please enjoy your cheese within 1-2 weeks. Soft cheeses should be enjoyed sooner

To Serve

  • Remove your cheese from the refrigerator at least an hour before serving, unwrap it, and place it on a cheese board or butcher paper
  • Cover with an inverted bowl. This allows the cheese to breathe and protect it while it comes to room temperature.

There is Mold on My Cheese!

  • Traditional cheeses are often made with natural rinds that display a variety of colorful molds and bumpy textures. These rinds protect the cheese as it ages while contributing to its unique flavor profile
  • Bacteria and mold are essential components of cheese. When cut and wrapped, molds and surface oils can develop on the face of the cheese. Simply scrape the surface with a knife to remove before serving.
