Say Aloha to “The King,” a Hawaiian spin on one of Primanti Bros Almost Famous sandwiches created in partnership with King’s Hawaiian. This limited-edition, irresistibly delicious creation takes the classic up a notch by adding just the right touch of sweetness to make this iconic sandwich even better! The Primanti Bros. King’s Hawaiian “The King” Pack includes everything you need for 4 of these special sandwiches, which are served on King’s Hawaiian Sliced Bread with Primanti’s usual toppings, plus the special additions of Spicy Candied Bacon and Honey Dijon Dressing, available only for the month of April.

What started as a small Depression-era sandwich cart run by Joe Primanti on Pittsburgh’s now-historic Strip District has evolved into a legendary sandwich shop. Primanti Bros. is famous for its signature sandwich stuffed to the brim with tangy coleslaw, crispy french fries, fresh cut deli meat, and Provolone cheese—all smooshed between two gigantic slices of soft Italian bread. Real Pittsburghers know to top with a fried egg and some hot sauce, but however you finish it off, know that you’re holding a true food legend in your grip; this behemoth of meat and cheese would make even Shaq’s hands look small.

Each King’s Hawaiian “The King” Sandwich Pack includes all you need for 4 Sandwiches, including:

  • 1 Loaf of King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Sliced Bread
  • Primanti’s Fresh Cut Capicola
  • Primanti’s Cheese
  • Primanti’s French Fries
  • Primanti’s Coleslaw
  • Tomato
  • Spicy Candied Bacon
  • Honey Dijon Dressing
  • Each package ships on ice packs, may thaw in transit
  • Upon arrival store all ingredients in the refrigerator except the bread
  • Ensure bread is room temperature

To Serve

  • Ensure bread is room temperature
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Bake fries on a cookie sheet until golden brown + crispy (approximately 10-15 minutes)
  • Toss the fries and sprinkle with salt and pepper (optional)
  • Set stove top burner to medium heat. Pull apart the meat and put each serving in a small pile on a griddle (or pan) on the stove top
  • Flip the pile of meat and then place the cheese on top to begin melting
  • Assemble your sandwich: One slice of King’s Hawaiian Original Hawaiian Sweet Sliced Bread, the Capicola covered in melted cheese, the spicy candied bacon, the fries, a squeeze of honey Dijon dressing in a zig zag motion over the fries, the slaw, the tomato slices, and top it off with the other slice of King’s Hawaiian bread
