Federal Donuts is more than just a donut shop: since its 2011 founding on Sansom Street, it’s become a veritable Philadelphia icon, with seven locations citywide as well as outposts inside Citizens Bank Park and the Wells Fargo Center. Its founders include James Beard Award winning restaurateurs Steven Cook and Mike Solomonov (the folks behind the city’s renowned Zahav), and their freshly fried cake doughnuts have folks lining up on a daily basis.
